Realm key

Already many, many centuries ago, various myths, legends and tales began to be told about hidden treasures otherwise known as the Realm keys, hiding deep within piles of pure gold and silver, rubies as red as blood or powerful knowledge and beyond-human strength. Some of the Realm keys were hidden by humans, others were created by nature and some even accumulated by all sorts of creatures. As it happens, Realm keys are often highly sought after objects, and not by a small number of individuals. Can you, therefore, as one of the many so called Spellcasters seeking knowledge and power, overcome others who stand in your way with the help of sorcery and acquire this Realm key for your self?!

In this quite unconventional, strategic and mystical board game, you will try to achieve a certain score in a duel by creating magical symbols. You create symbols by overlapping transparent cards that carry parts of these symbols over each other, in such a way that when they are overlapped, a certain symbol is created.

The symbols created affect the course of the game also by their effect. For this reason, you must carefully consider and think through the actions you take. 

Game is made for two player a takes about half an hour to finish the longest version

This game design project was created as a group term project at SSUD-game art in a time periode of 5 months.
